The Red Arrows come to Silverstone

Ready for an action packed weekend at Silverstone? The famous British circuit is host to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd August 2010.

Not only will there be non-stop track action but if you look to the skies you will see some of the finest air displays. The Red Arrows (The Royal Airforce Aerobatic Team) will be taking to the skies in a display that is set to become one to remember! There will also be demonstrations from the Vulcan Bomber, P51 Mustang and Spitfire.

If you didn’t already know, Silverstone was a World War II airfield, and one of the planes that would have used it during the war will be returning – a BBMF Lancaster Bomber.

Not only can you see aeroplanes up close but you can get close to the track action too, sit in one of the grandstands for a great view of the racing or take a wonder through the paddock.

We advise anyone attending the event to book their ticket online but if you show up at the gate you will be able to purchase some tickets on the day. Like always, if you want to stay near the circuit we recommend you take a look at either camping, bed and breakfast or hotels near the Silverstone circuit.

The weekend promises to be one to remember so don’t miss out!
